We collect your name, date of birth, phone number, e-mail address, photo and bank account details directly from you, in order to facilitate your membership of our gym.

 

You can up-date these personal details yourself in our app.  We are unable to update your bank account details or change bank accounts for you – only you can do that.

 

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.  If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please message us in the app or contact us via info@gymfintech.com.

Over time we collect information about your regular payments, your gym visits, any pauses in your membership and any change to your information, in order to facilitate your membership of our gym and improvements in our service and in the app.

We share your personal information with Gym Innovations and Akahu.  Gym Innovations provides the app and database that collects and stores your data, while Akahu provides the fintech backbone that enables you to pay us by connecting your bank account to our bank account.

We, Gym Innovations and Akahu store the information you provide and we collect on cloud-based servers.  These are currently hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS).

All access to this data is limited to authorised users, whose logins requires passwords with two-factor authentication.  This applies to staff, contractors and developers of ourselves, Gym Innovations and Akahu.

When you cancel your membership, we retain your personal and transaction details for our own record-keeping, accounting and taxation requirements, EXCEPT THAT we do not keep the token by which you previously enabled payments from your bank account to ours.
